8 February 2024

Mosaic by Penrose Education, the online platform for ITE, is pleased to announce a collaborative partnership with the  Chartered College of Teaching, the recognised professional body for teachers and educators. Our joint commitment is to support educators in achieving professional excellence. Together we will work to enhance support structures for teachers and mentors and visualise our shared goal for improved education outcomes for children and young people.

The Chartered College of Teaching

Student teachers can join the Chartered College of Teaching for free for the duration of their training and now this partnership opens up a new opportunity for mentors and educators working with providers using the Mosaic platform for ITT to benefit from a discounted (-10%) first year of Chartered College of Teaching membership.

The Chartered College of Teaching is the professional body for teaching, supporting 45,000 members across the world to become more evidence-informed in their practice. Membership gives members the knowledge and confidence to make the best decisions for their pupils and students.

Chartered Teacher Status is a professional accreditation that recognises the knowledge, skills and behaviours of highly accomplished teachers and school leaders, offering a career pathway that is focused on developing and recognising high-quality teaching and leadership practice. As a professional accreditation, Chartered Status builds on individual practice, priorities and interests and can be undertaken at your own pace, up to three years.

Upcoming Webinar: Do Mentors Want to be Mentors? Defining a Rich, Broad, Long-Term Vision for Mentoring in Education

In this workshop, jointly hosted by the Chartered College of Teaching and Penrose Education, Mosaic Co-Founder Robert Caudwell and guest speakers Derek Boyle and Lizana Oberholzer, authors of Mentoring and Coaching in Education: A Guide to Coaching and Mentoring Teachers at Every Stage of their Careers, will be discussing what a rich, broad, long-term vision of mentoring could look like. During this interactive session you will have opportunity to ask questions and contribute ideas as we begin defining how mentoring could become a more attractive, better supported, and fully appreciated element within a holistic approach to teacher development.

Date: Wednesday 27 March 2024 @4pm
