Introducing Our Newest Team Member:
Ana Mendes, Full Stack Web Developer

We are delighted to welcome Ana Mendes as our newest Full Stack Web Developer, who brings a wealth of experience and a passion for education technology.
Ana will be working on developing new features for our platform that enhance user experience and functionality. Her expertise in creating interactive and engaging tools will be a tremendous asset to our team. We are excited to see how she will contribute to our ongoing projects and help us innovate to better support teacher education and development.

“Ana is a wonderful addition to the Penrose Education team. Her technical aptitude, eye for design, and, most importantly, her care for the end user experience are already improving Mosaic. To help get to know Ana better, we asked her a few fun questions. Here’s what she had to share:
1. If you could instantly master any new skill (not related to work), what would it be?
“Playing the piano! 🎹 One day, I’ll be in the conservatory, serenading the birds 🐦 and squirrels with my tunes. It’s going to happen, I promise!”
2. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
“I’m not entirely sure, but Wales is my absolute favourite. Lucky for me, I can visit often!”
3. What’s your favourite way to relax and recharge after a busy week?
“Taking a walk with the dogs in the mountains 🏔️. There’s nothing better than being in nature with your furry best friends.”
4. What inspired you to pursue a career in software development?
“Creating cheerful, useful tools that brighten people’s days! I love making things pretty and fun with design, and the logical side of coding keeps my brain 🧠 sharp. It’s like a daily brain workout with a splash of creativity! 🎨 🖌️ 💻“
5. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received in your career?
“A brilliant designer and marketer once told me, ‘If one user doesn’t get it, it’s not good enough.’ Always aim for the best, right?”
